In Rio Bravo we partner alongside a local church, El Centro de Adoracion, our main purpose is to build – build casitas for deserving families as identified through CAS (the local church), build relationships with the members of the local church, and build skills with the people that can be translated into funds for their families. This is not a hands-off mission. We will see and serve the same people each trip, and you will know them by name. Be a part of a life-changing purpose – your life and theirs. All ages are welcome to join with parental supervision.

“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2
We have been able to partner with ORPHANetwork and Pastor Edgar Valdivia to break the cycles of poverty as well as providing spiritual and educational support through the local church. Since 2015, it is evident that God is working in this community through direct contributions from Birthday Gift to Jesus. Your contributions have helped provided critical nourishment, an after school program and contributed to a healthy mothers and babies program for newborns born in this community.
The children and families that are part of the local church are also benefitting from the partnerships with ORPHANetwork that provides daily meals for the children on the mountain where the church and school are located. This has caused chronic malnutrition in children under 5 years to decrease from 37% to 2% as well and making acute malnutrition to be essentially extinct.
Pray with us for this community as they continue to grow and seek God's face in their daily struggles living and going to school on the mountain.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61:1-3
Our partnership with Adera in Addis Ababa, continues as we are faithfully supporting the youth training program that focuses on youth sharing the gospel with at least 5 of their friends, leading to over 2,400 children and youth coming to know Jesus last year alone! In addition, you are a part of a rural pastor training course. Men and women are traveling by foot to engage in this two year program. The same men and women are required to disciple 5 others in their respective churches with the materials they are given monthly. Simple multiplication demonstrates that 240 pastors are disciplining 1250 churchmen, annually.
The work in Ethiopia continues as we see women and children regain their dignity through self-sustainability and work to earn for their families in the jewelry making program Adera provides. We are so honored to partner with this organization to see real life-change in these families for generations to come.
After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. And he said to them, “The harvest is plentifully, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Luke 9:49
