Outreach

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

Outreach Passport

Local Outreach

Do you feel God tugging on your heart strings to help the children in our community who are struggling to eat every week? Are you deeply impacted when you drive through the streets of Fort Worth by the people who are looking for their next meal or a warm bed? We are actively involved in helping these people every day, and we’d love for you to be involved.

RED BAG
A Hunger Solutions Ministry

Pathway Red Bag ministry works to support the food-deficient in our community and surrounding areas through monthly food collection/distribution campaigns.

Purpose: To provide relief for people experiencing hardship and homelessness that need nourishment for survival.

Many find themselves unexpectedly in a hard place – whether it’s the loss of a job, a partner, or a social outcast that cannot navigate today’s society.  Help fill the gap for our neighbors by serving with one or more of the opportunities below so they and their loved ones do not have to go hungry today.

Red Bag Relief – Grab a shopping list and fill a Red Bag from one of our Red Bag stations (Door 1 in the Connection Point and in the Crossing by the Sanctuary).

TAFB Food Pantry in the ARC – Stock our “store” and serve guests TAFB-provided fresh and shelf-stable food on the 1st Sunday of the month.
1st Sunday of the month, ARC foyer, 4-6pm.

Homemade for the Hungry:  Prepare and serve a meal for approximately 40 homeless and food-deficient guests at our partner ministry, Fishers of Men, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.  The Red Bag Ministry will cover the food cost.

Whether a person needs food supplementation to meet food needs long-term or is experiencing a crisis where short-term support is necessary, all are welcome that need assistance, including those that serve.

PATHWAY GARDENS
A Hunger Solutions Ministry

Purpose: Provide fresh produce to our local food insecure community.

The Pathway Pantry Garden, locally grown and harvested by Pathway servants, delivered weekly to local area pantries to be distributed to families and seniors identified as food insecure or on restricted income. Families are encouraged to serve together through the planting and harvesting season March 1-November 1.

The Pathway Community Garden gives individuals in the community the opportunity to lease a raised garden bed for the entire harvest season with one requirement of donating a portion to a local pantry. This is a great opportunity for families and groups to experience gardening and service in the comfort of their own community.

THE BRIDGE
A Homeless Solutions Ministry

The Bridge is an Outreach Ministry that is about sharing the love and grace of Jesus with as many homeless people as we can in Tarrant County.

We invite you to join us in serving as we live this purpose in two ways. Through Pathway’s live church service hosted on the last Sunday of the month, we bring the hope and love of Christ to the homeless in a way that reflects that we are one body. We precede the service with the same coffee hospitality that you see on the Burleson campus and would love you to come to serve your brother or sister in Christ a cup of coffee.

Additionally, we have the opportunity to build a relationship with our friends that are finding their way out of homelessness by attending events designed to promote Godly community at permanent supportive care housing. Many of those that have joined us for service at the Bridge are now living in supportive housing, and we want to continue serving them as they continue their journey.

HOPE TEAM
A Community Solutions Ministry

The Pathway HOPE Team, in partnership with Burleson Code Enforcement, is currently assisting our local community in need through exterior home and yard services.

Purpose To meet our neighbors’ needs by becoming a part of the solution.

How It Works
City of Burleson Code Compliance Officers identify families in need of help by taking the time to understand what is going on that has caused the distress on their home. Once it is confirmed HOPE Project Leaders schedule the projects based on the homeowners’ wishes.

Sometimes visits are as simple as trimming trees and mowing grass, or others can take several visits to complete. However, many hands make light work. Families or individuals, HOPE accepts and appreciates all skill levels. Our project leaders can show you how to hammer a nail or pick up debris. All you need to do is say “YES,” to serving, all hands are needed to bring HOPE back into our community.

If you are interested in getting involved or would like to be added to our servant call sheet, email us!

PATHWAY FOSTER CARE
A Community Solutions Ministry

Multiple times a year, Pathway offers respite to foster/kinship parents through our Kids Night Out event.   Kid’s Night Out offers a much-needed 3-hour break to foster/kinship parents, allowing them an evening to themselves while their children enjoy time with caring volunteers. After dinner is served, kids participate in games, and crafts and play on interactive/jump houses.   Mark your calendars – Kids Night Out for foster/kinship parents and volunteer opportunities to serve 2023 dates: March 10, May 12, October 6, and December 8.

In early December, our Pathway church family graciously donate to our annual Christmas gift drive for foster children.  Foster/kinship parents can pick out gifts the second week of December; pick-up dates and times can be confirmed by emailing fostercare@pathway.church.

Burleson Foster Closet sponsored by Pathway helps provide clothing, shoes, strollers, car seats, cribs, high chairs, etc., and baby essentials to foster and kinship families free of charge.  We are thankful to be supported by our local community to ensure a full closet.  Visit Burleson Foster Closet on Facebook for hours of operation or request an appointment by emailing fostercare@pathway.church.

Our Support Groups of foster/kinship parents meet on the second and fourth Sunday of each month.  Come join us as we inspire, share, and pray for each other; the Pathway church family provides free childcare. More questions, please contact  us at  fostercare@pathway.church.

Whether you graciously open your home to God’s children as a foster/kinship parent or have a heart to serve those who do, Pathway Foster Care Ministries has a place for you.  For prayer, support, event details, and volunteer opportunities simply reach out to us at fostercare@pathway.church.

Global Outreach

Is your interest further away, globally… maybe in Mexico or Nicaragua? Do you feel that God wants you to make a lasting impact for His Kingdom work on a global scale, but you don’t know where to begin? We would love to partner with you and guide you on this journey!

MEXICO
A Global Solutions Ministry

Having this extended Pathway family across the border in Rio Bravo, Mexico, opens the doors for people to see Jesus at work from new perspectives.

In alignment with Pathway’s Mission to connect with One More, we have intentionally met specific needs in this farming community by providing a Wi-Fi Café that serves as a hub for the students in the community and supporting education scholarships for students.

We are also working alongside the local church through opportunities to meet hunger solutions of families.  As this community works with government officials to build a long-needed high school, we will join them to help finish the roofing project and stucco work.

Join us in this hands-on mission work. We promise you will make new friends. Be a part of a life-changing purpose–your life and theirs. All ages are welcome to join with parental supervision.
