Family Ministry

Legacy Milestones

Welcome Parents!

We believe parents are the spiritual champion of the home. On this page, you will find worship intentionally designed for the age of your child to watch together.

On our Facebook Page, you will find parent guides to help you lead your children and students through intentional faith talks as well as frequent messages from our Family Ministry Team!

And don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel to be the first to know when new videos go live!

Children’s Ministries

Our goal is for your kids to simply have a blast while learning about Jesus! We have several components to our Sunday mornings that allow for your child to learn about Jesus in different ways! Children experience an age-appropriate, dynamic introduction to the Bible during Large Group time. Our Large Group leaders will use worship, songs, skits, Bible lessons, and fun videos to engage the kids to want to learn more. Small Group Leaders will reinforce the biblical lessons and scripture and use this time to build relationships with each child pointing them toward Jesus.

Parent Ministries

As hard as it is to believe, statistics show that parents are the greatest spiritual influence in their children’s lives and we want to do all we can to equip you to fulfill that role. We know how scary this sounds so we want  to come alongside you to make it easier.. Throughout the year we provide various classes, resources and events to teach, train and resource you to lead your child through spiritual milestones that allow them to develop a sustainable spiritual foundation. Our greatest resource for parents is our full time Parent Advocate; Cheyanne Davis who is available to support, encourage, and help you navigate these developmental years of your child’s life.

Legacy Milestones

The 7 Milestones provide an intentional time to celebrate different moments during our faith journey. The Family Ministries team will provide specific resources and programing to equip parents and children to celebrate these faith milestones.

Pathway is committed to coming alongside and mentoring parents as parents mentor their children. For the church and family to work together to equip the generations, here is a common path.

1. Baby/Parent Dedication

Birth to 6 years

Parents as you dedicate your child to God, we ask that you dedicate yourselves to be your child’s primary faith trainer.

Campus Event: Child/ Infant dedication & baptism – Ceremony in worship.

2. Salvation and Baptism

7+ Years

Between Milestone 1 and 2, we partner with and equip parents to lead their children toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ which leads toward salvation. A child growing up in a Christian home and church often reach a decision point between the ages of 7 and 11. Parents are encouraged to teach biblical truth about salvation
and baptism for Christ.

Campus Event: Baptism/Profession of Faith

3. Preparing for Adolescence

4th and 5th grade

It is so important to help children prepare spiritually, emotionally, and physically for adolescence. Curriculum covers such topics as relating to your adolescent, discussing physical, emotional, social, and
spiritual changes, and how to face the challenges of Junior High.

Campus Event: 4th & 5th Grade Retreat

4. SEXUAL INTEGRITY

6th through 9th grade

In our culture, it is blaringly obvious that we must address “sex” from a biblical perspective. We promote through our curriculum the Biblical standard for sex and purity and coach parents to use family
devotionals and intentional conversations about the importance of accountability, identity in Christ and healthy friendships.

5. Rite of Passage

10th and 11th Grade

The passing of a child into adulthood is a significant event. Age 16 is a significant time of freedom in our culture. Parents will be equipped to disciple their freshmen and sophomore students for adulthood. Issues such as spiritual gifts, the roles of men and
women, spiritual disciplines, service in the church, and dealing with failure, are part of this phase.

6. High School Graduation

12th grade

Between the ages of 16 and 18, parents help their students develop the practical and spiritual skills to leave home. The Legacy path equips parents to prepare their students for the world outside of the nest. This can be a very healthy time in the family journey if parents continue to keep the lines of communication open with their students.

Campus Event: Senior Celebration

7. Life in Christ

Life after high school

John 15 sets the precedence for this amazing journey describing a fulfilling life with eternal purpose. Real life begins and grows in relationship with Jesus Christ. In that relationship, a Christ-follower grows in such areas as prayer, knowing scripture, and giving/serving throughout the journey. This path filled with highs and lows, ends in eternity with Jesus. Life in Christ is experienced by every adult believer no matter one’s life stage or circumstances.
