Facilities Assistant

Part time hourly, 15-30 hours per week. Looking for Weekend & Holiday availability
Purpose: Assist in maintaining church property, ensuring it is clean, professional and safe to utilize in
fulfilling the mission of Pathway Church.

Skills needed:
1. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, stand and work for extended periods
2. Ability to perform routine custodial & maintenance tasks
3. Ability to understand written instructions, such as check lists and room set-up requirements
4. Use carpet shampooer and vacuum
5. Background check required prior to employment
6. HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, and Janitorial experience highly desired
7. Self-Starter

Essential Functions:
· Resolve any safety matters immediately. Resolve and/or inform the Director of Facilities.
· Check list of daily tasks, routinely cleaning all areas of the church building.
· Watch for trash and spills, even if not on daily list, and resolve immediately.
· Inventory cleaning supplies.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant of Care & Outreach Ministries
Reports To: Director of Care Ministry & Director of Outreach Ministry
Position Type: Part-Time
Location: Pathway Church- Care Ministry Office

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant for Care and Outreach Ministries supports the mission of Pathway Church by providing comprehensive administrative support to both departments. This position plays a key role in assisting the facilitation of compassionate care for the congregation and coordinating effective outreach efforts in the community.

The ideal candidate is organized, relationally sensitive, and aligned with the church’s vision to serve others with compassion, integrity, and excellence.

Works closely with: Director of Care Ministry, Director of Outreach, First Impressions Director, Care Ministry Team Leads, Outreach Team Leads, and Deacons

Key Responsibilities:

Care Ministry Support

  • Maintain and update care ministry databases (e.g., prayer requests, needed hospital visits, funeral coordination appointments, follow-up lists). Including entering Cars 4 Christ and assistance applications. Updating death records in spreadsheet, Ministry Platform, preparing Stephen Ministry books for loved ones, and processing assistance payments.
  • Assist in scheduling visits, counseling appointment inquiry, and care team servant needs and meetings, and
  • Help coordinate events such as grief support groups, memorial services, and general care initiatives.
  • Schedule communications including condolence cards, calling homebound recipients, follow-up emails, and care ministry newsletters.

Outreach Ministry Support

  • Help organize logistics for community events, service projects, and mission trips (e.g., servant registration, transportation, supplies).
  • Schedule/ submit promotional material needs for outreach events (MP, print needs, social media, etc.).
  • Support the coordination and preparation of church-wide outreach initiatives such as food drives, holiday events and giving, or non-profit partner events. (e.g. Serve Together Weekend, Family Camp Outreach Component, Back to School Event, Abide Conference, Santa Nights, Christmas- Serving Seniors Event, Giving Tree, Fill The Shelves, etc.)
  • Assist the facilitation of schedule and needs from Outreach Team Leaders (Hunger Solutions, Homeless Solutions, Foster Care Ministry, Serving Seniors, Mexico Mission,
  • Assist in organization of mission /vision trips including servant compliance, etc.

Administrative & General Duties

  • Answer phone calls and emails related to both ministries in a timely, compassionate manner and delegate to the appropriate ministry/team.
  • Maintain accurate calendars for Care and Outreach ministry leaders.
  • Order and maintain supplies, ministry materials, and hospitality items.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense reports, and receipts.
  • Attend ministry team meetings and take notes when needed.
  • Create/Pull attendance reports, and organize collected feedback after events.

Qualifications:

  • A committed Christian with a heart for ministry and service.
  • Minimum high school education.
  • Two years of previous administrative experience; church or nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; discretion and confidentiality are essential.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and ability to learn church management software (e.g., Ministry Platform, Planning Center, TAFB database, etc).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with occasional evening or weekend hours for events.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs for event setup if necessary.
